BBharts Conservatory is seeking a dependable, engaging, and academically motivated teacher to support a small group of elementary and middle school homeschool students.
The teacher will work with 11 students across grades 4–7 in a structured, collaborative learning environment. This position is ideal for an Education student, recent graduate, aspiring educator, retired teacher, or experienced academic facilitator who enjoys working closely with students in a small-group setting.

- Support students in core academic subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Help students develop organization, time-management, study, and independent-learning skills
- Maintain a structured, encouraging, and productive classroom environment
- Communicate student progress, concerns, and academic needs to program leadership
- Collaborate with BBharts leadership to address individual student needs
- Encourage responsibility, confidence, curiosity, and positive learning habits
- Maintain accurate attendance and academic progress records
Qualifications
- Current college student or graduate in Education, Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills
- Comfortable supporting students across multiple grade levels and subject areas
- Patient, dependable, professional, and proactive
- Able to explain academic concepts clearly and adjust support based on each student’s needs
- Comfortable using online learning platforms and educational technology
- Able to work consistently Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Must be willing to complete all required background-screening procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or completion of a teacher-preparation program
- Classroom, tutoring, homeschool, after-school, or youth-program experience
- Experience monitoring academic pacing and student progress
- Familiarity with digital curriculum platforms, Google Classroom, IXL, or similar educational programs
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus
- Florida teaching certification or progress toward certification is a plus but not required
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
This position offers an aspiring educator the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on teaching experience in a small and supportive academic environment.
The selected teacher will be able to build strong relationships with students, provide more individualized attention than is typically possible in a traditional classroom, and collaborate closely with BBharts leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a direct impact on students’ academic growth, independence, and confidence.
