About Core Detail
Core Detail is Miami's white-glove detailing company for luxury and exotic vehicles. From our professional studio and our custom Mercedes-Benz Sprinter mobile unit, we care for cars valued from $50,000 to well over $1,000,000 — using Koch Chemie professional chemistry, deionized water systems, steam sanitation, and heated extraction. Our clients expect perfection; our technicians are trained and certified to deliver it.
About the Role
We are hiring a part-time Detailing Technician to deliver our Bronze, Silver, and Gold detailing packages at the studio and on mobile routes alongside our Lead Detailing Manager. You do not need to be a luxury-car expert on day one: every technician completes our paid, five-phase Training & Certification Program (10–15 business days) covering products, equipment, service SOPs, and mobile operations before working independently. You do need to be meticulous, reliable, and proud of your work — we hire for character and attention to detail, and we train the rest.
Schedule & Pay
– 15–20 hours per week weekend and occasional evening availability required — our clients' free time is our busy time.
– $18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and certification level, paid on a regular payroll schedule.
– Uniforms, and all equipment and PPE provided.
– Clear growth path: senior technician, van lead, and Lead Detailing Manager roles as we expand into aviation and marine detailing — strong part-time performers get first consideration for full-time openings.
What You'll Do
– Perform exterior and interior detailing to package SOPs: foam pre-wash, contact wash, deionized rinse, wheels and tires, steam cleaning, extraction, glass, and protection application.
– Document every vehicle at intake and delivery (walkaround, damage notation, time-stamped photos).
– Assist on mobile routes: van opening/closing checks, on-site setup, and leaving every client site cleaner than we found it.
– Handle chemicals, pressure washers, steamers, and extractors safely per OSHA and company standards.
– Maintain studio order: towel laundry and separation, chemical refills, inventory counts, equipment care.
– Deliver a five-star client experience — punctual, uniformed, courteous, and discreet around high-profile clients and their property.
Requirements (Conditions of Employment)
– 18 years of age or older with authorization to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participant).
– Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR check); insurable to move client vehicles.
– Pre-employment drug screening and background check — we are a Florida Drug-Free Workplace.
– Able to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for full shifts, lift up to 30 lbs, and work outdoors in Miami heat with provided safety measures.
– Weekend availability and reliable transportation
Minimum Qualifications
– Hands-on experience in auto detailing, car washing, automotive services, OR a customer-facing service role with demonstrated attention to detail.
– Ability to follow written SOPs, checklists, and quality standards precisely and pass our certification gates.
– Professional communication skills and a clean, client-ready presentation.
Preferred Qualifications
– 1+ years of professional detailing experience, especially with luxury, exotic, or collector vehicles.
– Working knowledge of paint decontamination (clay), machine polishing, and interior extraction.
– Experience with professional product lines (Koch Chemie, Gtechniq, CarPro or similar) and ceramic-coating prep.
– Experience with steamers, heated extractors, DI/spot-free water systems, or mobile detailing operations.
– Hospitality or luxury-retail background (concierge, valet at a luxury property, fine dining).
– Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
– IDA (International Detailing Association) certification a plus.
