Pediatric Neurologist – Nelson Sanchez, MD, PA (Affiliated with First Choice Neurology)
Nelson Sanchez, MD, PA is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join our growing, patient-centered practice in South Florida. Our practice currently includes one pediatric neurologist and two Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), providing comprehensive neurologic care to children and adolescents in a collaborative, supportive environment.
We offer in-office EEG services, allowing for efficient diagnosis and continuity of care for a wide range of pediatric neurologic conditions. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients with neurologic disorders in outpatient and, as applicable, inpatient settings
- Manage a broad range of pediatric neurologic conditions including epilepsy, developmental disorders, headaches, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy, ADHD, autism-related neurologic concerns, neurogenetic conditions, neonatal neurology concerns, stroke, and other pediatric neurologic disorders.
- Interpret and coordinate appropriate neurologic testing and treatment plans
- Collaborate with referring pediatricians, primary care physicians, therapists, hospitals, and other specialists
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough medical documentation
- Participate in quality patient care initiatives and practice growth efforts
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited residency training in Neurology with fellowship training in Pediatric Neurology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA registration
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality neurologic care
