Full Job Description

Confidential Posting: IT Specialist (Full-Time)

A growing organization is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Specialist to support day-to-day technical operations and infrastructure. This full-time role is responsible for providing Tier 1–2 support, maintaining systems, and assisting with ongoing IT initiatives, system improvements, and technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

Create, review, and triage Tier 1–2 support tickets in a timely manner
Provide end-user desktop support via remote support tools and onsite visits
Install and configure Windows 11 computers, monitors, and printers
Assist with system administration tasks, including server upgrades, updates, patches, deployments, architecture review/design, and general best practices
Support and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, internet connectivity, and Cisco IP phones
Create clear and concise process documentation, system diagrams, and other supporting materials
Track and generate monthly reports on outstanding issues
Coordinate with vendors to execute software and firmware upgrades
Communicate professionally with users, vendors, and internal IT teams
Participate in meetings and provide regular, accurate status updates to project participants and leadership
Assist with technology projects and initiatives designed to improve and advance existing systems
Identify opportunities to improve processes through system enhancements, automation, and technology solutions
Assist with developing and implementing automations, integrations, reporting tools, and other technology solutions as needed
Support additional projects and tasks as required
Follow management guidance and adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of technical experience working with hardware and software
Experience working in Windows and virtualized environments
Experience utilizing an ITSM system for incident and change management
Experience providing end-user support with Windows 11, printers, and monitors
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to assess user and business needs and develop effective technical solutions
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Ability to work independently and effectively with remote team members
Willingness to share knowledge and assist with cross-training peers
Ability to work flexible or extended hours when requested or participate in an on-call schedule
A valid driver's license and good driving record are required

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with program development, system development, or technology solutions beyond traditional IT support
Experience developing or supporting business intelligence and reporting solutions, including Power BI
Experience creating automations and workflow solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
Experience with system integrations and connecting different platforms or applications
Ability to identify opportunities to advance, improve, and optimize existing systems
Knowledge of Windows Server, server hardware, domain administration, and Active Directory
Knowledge of network troubleshooting, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
Familiarity with videoconferencing, printers, copiers, smartphones, VoIP, LAN, and WAN environments
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, antivirus, spyware removal, and backup/restore processes
Microsoft training and related certifications are a plus
