Company Summary:
Beacon is a successful and national behavioral health company providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Complex Behavioral Health conditions, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and other compounding medical conditions. All activities related to this position must be delivered in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, accreditation standards, state and federal licensing requirements, HCBS guidelines, and the contractual requirements of Community Mental Health Agencies and other regulatory bodies. Position Summary:
The Clinical Intern provides supervised clinical support within their market or dedicated region. The intern facilitates psychoeducation groups and skills based interventions, assists with reviewing event reports, collects and analyzes program data, completes clinical documentation and assessments, and participates in interdisciplinary meetings to support coordinated, person centered care. This role is designed to build core competencies in a residential behavioral health practice while contributing to the daily functioning and therapeutic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in weekly supervision to build clinical skills, reflect on practice, and integrate feedback.
Maintain regular, open, and consistent communication across clinical teams and with other departments.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized crisis stabilization plans and provide direct crisis intervention and risk assessments when required.
Attend program and team meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required
Performs ongoing reviews and audits of clinical charts to verify compliance with documentation standards, clinical best practices, and federal billing requirements
Complete timely, accurate notes, group logs, assessments, and other required clinical records in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
Support and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies and providers to ensure optimal outcomes for the individuals served.
Model and uphold the organization’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guiding philosophies in all clinical interactions.
Maintain and sustain a safe community environment and workplace.
Follow Beacon's policies, procedures, and manuals.
Accept other duties as assigned.
Ensure full compliance with organizational policies and all applicable state and federal regulations.
Foster a collaborative, “One Team” environment by supporting integration between clinical, medical, and operational teams to promote high-quality, coordinated care.
Review incident/event reports, identify patterns or risk factors, and elevate concerns to supervisors.

Education and Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, studying social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
Must be authorized by applicable state, federal, and local entities to work within BSLS programs.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsible for maintaining all mandatory training and certification requirements.
Must pass criminal background checks, central registry check (in applicable states) and child abuse registry (in applicable states).
Must complete and pass a drug test, in applicable states.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.

Strong computer skills utilizing various software programs and applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
