Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Circuit Court Administrator, where you will play a vital role in managing the administrative functions of the court system. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to oversee court operations, ensure efficient case processing, and support judicial staff in delivering justice with professionalism and integrity. Your leadership will help maintain a well-organized, accessible, and responsive court environment that serves the community effectively.

Duties

The Circuit Court Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of court operations and coordinates organizational services between judges, attorneys, litigants, corrections, other county and state offices, and the public.
This individual must be familiar with Michigan Court Rules and best practices for court administration.
Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as experience in management and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment.
Oversee the Circuit Court caseload and submit reports through applications to the Michigan Supreme Court and other agencies.
This position includes working as a criminal court clerk, including observing court proceedings and preparing a variety of documents, judgments, orders, and assessments in real time.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree; criminal justice experience and/or at least two years of clerical experience in a court or law office.
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite programs and the operation of standard office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and maintain focus in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Five or more years of experience in a court or law office.
Familiarity with the JIS Web/TCS case management system.
Advanced computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
