Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Staff member, where your energy and passion for food will help create memorable dining experiences. In this vital role, you will support food preparation, ensure food safety standards are upheld, and assist with various kitchen operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to a lively, efficient, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas
Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors
Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, ingredients, and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
Buss tables and clear dishes promptly to maintain a clean dining environment
Serve guests at the counter or table using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately
Follow safe manual handling practices during all tasks to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety

Experience

Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Familiarity with food safety standards and handling procedures is a plus
Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel kitchens can be advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and assist guests
Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is beneficial but training will be provided
Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing in a fast-paced setting
