Are you handy with tools? Are you good with understanding floor plans and following assembly instructions? Like to take apart and build things? Are you the family member or friend hat is called when someone buys something from IKEA and they need it built? Our Installers / Movers are responsible for the disconnection and connection of system furniture and household furniture on Professional Movers.com jobsites. They are the brains that build the furniture that make the spaces we move into incredibly functional. They are expected to work directly with the Team Leaders and Moving Consultants to comprehend the scope of each install, efficiently perform delegated installation tasks, and maintain communication between the customer, Team Leader, and Moving Consultant. Installers also often assist in performing moving duties prior to and after performing installation work. Desks, cubicles, bookcases, warehouse shelving, file shelving, overhead wall shelving, and pictures are just some of the types of installation requests our Installers receive each day. Experience, problem solving, identifying the right tool, hardware, and application for each job are key characteristics of our successful Installer s. No matter how big or small the installation is, our Installers knows how to best approach any situation and be efficient and meet the project deadlines.

- Moving and assembly of residential and commercial furniture
- Ability to deconstruct, install and execute space planning inside office environments.
- Ability to work independently or with a team assigned to provide office moving
- Ability to professionally communicate with Team Leader, Moving Consultant, and Customer
- Ability to take apart new and used office furniture and household furniture
- Knowledge in systems furniture (Cubicle Workstations Required)
- Timely completion of work with high level of workmanship
- Maintaining and submitting daily timesheet with accurate records of date, in/out times, and locations
- Hanging items on walls pictures, overhead bins, etc.
- Assisting in loading and unloading box trucks
- Preparing furniture for transportation (pad-wrapping and shrink-wrapping)
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of furniture
- Ability to lift heavy furniture
- Keeping trucks, equipment, hardware organized
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Knowledge in systems furniture (Cubicle Workstations Required)
- Ability to read floor play and installation instructions
- Proficient at wall mounting and hanging overheads to walls
- Inventory management ability, review parts log and confirm components
- Wood touch-up and repair ability
- Must own complete toolset
- Must pass a federal background check
- No felonies
- Proven ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Proven ability to follow direction precisely
- Proven ability to be a positive and contributing team member
- Demonstrated patience, tolerance, and humility
- Demonstrated ability to be completely forthright about mistakes and oversights
- Physical stamina to lift and carry 100 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the day
- Drug-free and alcohol free
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to work
- Wear required work uniform – Professional Movers Shirt, Black Dickie Work Pant or Logoed Shorts
