Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft innovative menus, oversee daily kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Our Head Chef works with our Sous Chef to become apart of the driving force behind our culinary excellence. You will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences that delight guests and uphold our reputation for upscale/casual dining. Your leadership will foster a vibrant kitchen environment where creativity, teamwork, and precision thrive.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure exceptional quality.
Help develop and refine menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and profitability.
Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to cultivate a motivated and skilled team.
Oversee inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and health regulations across all kitchen activities.
Coordinate with general manager, sous chef, and all staff to deliver flawless event execution with attention to detail.
Monitor food production processes in upscale/casual dining settings to uphold high standards of presentation and taste.
Manage shift operations efficiently, ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods while maintaining quality control.

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in upscale/casual dining environments.
Proven supervisory experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, and dietary department requirements.
Expertise in food production, menu planning, and food handling techniques.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills.
Experience with inventory management, inventory control, and cost analysis.
Familiarity with food safety protocols and compliance standards in the food industry.
Skilled in kitchen management including shift management, food service management, and restaurant operations.
Ability to oversee food preparation from concept through execution while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and serving guests at the highest level.
