Job Summary

The Department of Radiology is currently seeking an administrative specialist to join its Capital Project Team. The Capital Team is involved in planning, design and activation of capital projects for the department. Our projects range from large strategic capital projects like the Troy Advance Imaging Center to office renovations within the Radiology department. Excellent written and oral communications skills are needed to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities*

Attends Radiology meetings for construction projects. Review projects, meeting minutes and plans to make sure that design is accurate and reflecting the departments requirements. Keeps notes and documentation to validate the construction projects are built to the Radiology standards for our modalities. Maintains excel spreadsheets to track equipment serial numbers, room numbers, installation date, useful life, and any upgrades to the existing Radiology fleet. Writing work orders to Construction Services and directing work in the field by the contractor is part of this team members responsibilities. Oversees day to day requests for keys, security cards, equipment, furniture, signs, phones and Radiology department specific items from our capital tracker of requests. Communicates changes to project schedule and milestones to the wider project team. Partners with Michigan Medicine Facilities Managers, Interior Design, and EVS on walk throughs to make sure our patient spaces are safe, clean and comfortable for our staff and patients.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Proven time management skills. Successful project management experience.

Desired Qualifications*

Working knowledge of Michigan Medicine practices and policies, including purchasing policies and writing work orders. Experience with construction projects.
