Overview

Gallagher is looking for an all around Application Developer who is strong with C#/.Net and Database skills. This person needs to be able to work very independantly with little direction.

How you'll make an impact

Main Responsibilities
- Application Development
- - Primary responsibility is to write / develop code per user stories developed by our Business Analyst (BA) team.
  - Work with our BA’s and other developers on new application development in support of our integrated benefits underwriting and management platform.
  - Regularly meet with our BA’s to review new requirements, progress on existing work and testing in an Agile Development environment
  - Conduct thorough Data Exploratory Analysis before starting to code in order to determine potential issues with existing data not identified in the specs
- Application Support
- - Work on existing applications within our benefits administration platform regarding new enhancements, new capabilities and fixes on an as needed basis.
- Systems Documentation
- - Update appropriate systems documentation to reflect changes in the original requirements documents and use cases, when there are changes to the original requirements documentations.
- Database Design / Scripting
- - Work on designing and optimizing relational database schemas based on the defined requirements and understanding of the underlying data
  - Create views and stored procedures necessary for use with new or existing applications and reports
  - Analyze and refactor existing views or stored procedures as data or requirements change

About You

Required:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

Skills / Experience
- Proficient with the following technology tools / platforms:

  - Microsoft .Net (.Net Framework and/or .Net Core)
  - ASP.Net MVC and WebAPI
  - Client<>Server RESTful communication

  - Extraction Translation and Loading processes
