Job Description

As a Security Officer Court Screener in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Court Screenerin a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $ 18.35 / Hour increasing to $21.05 / Hour in annual increments

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor screening and traffic flow.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Requires a valid State of MI CPL
Be 21 years of age or older.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
