Job Summary

We are seeking contract Grant Writer to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to secure funding through compelling grant proposals, ensuring our organization’s programs and initiatives are well-supported. The ideal candidate is passionate about nonprofit work and has a proven track record of successful grant funding. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in young lives.

Duties

Conduct thorough research on potential grant opportunities from nonprofit foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
Develop persuasive grant proposals and compelling case statements that align with funder priorities and organizational goals.
Manage the entire grant submission process, including preparing budgets, supporting documentation, and timely submission of applications.
Maintain and update databases such as Raiser's Edge for tracking grants, donor information, and funding progress.
Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Monitor grant contracts from initiation through reporting phases, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
Prepare detailed financial reports, progress reports, and other documentation required for grant management and renewal applications.
Edit and proofread proposals and reports for clarity, accuracy, and persuasive impact.
Conduct ongoing research on grant funding opportunities to identify new sources of support aligned with organizational priorities.
Support strategic planning efforts related to fundraising initiatives and program development through effective proposal writing.

Qualifications

Proven experience in grant proposal writing within nonprofit or community organization settings.
Demonstrated ability in research, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial report writing.
Familiarity with content editing, proofreading, and project management tools.
Knowledge of nonprofit community organizations’ needs and funding landscapes is a plus.
