Gray Pest Control · Jacksonville, FL · Full-time, In-person

ABOUT GRAY PEST CONTROL
Gray Pest Control (GPC) is a fast-growing, owner-operated pest control company serving Northeast Florida. We are part of the Gray Group — a portfolio of three integrated home services companies including Gray Home Inspections and Aquila Insurance — which means our customers trust us across multiple touchpoints in their homeownership journey.
We are a fast-growing company and we run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). That means clear accountability, defined roles, disciplined execution, and a leadership culture that moves fast and fixes things.
To hit our goals, we need an Integrator — someone who translates vision into results, holds the team accountable, and makes the engine run.
OUR CORE VALUES
Everything we do at Gray Group runs through these values. Our GM must embody them — not just agree with them on paper.
- Healthy Discomfort — we grow through hard conversations, hard decisions, and hard work
- Control the Controllables — we focus our energy on what we can actually change
- Measure Twice, Cut Once — we think before we act and do it right the first time
- Humble Is Credible — ego gets checked at the door; results do the talking
- All In — half effort is not in our vocabulary; we commit fully or not at all
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who runs the business like it's their own. You don't wait to be told what to fix. You see a problem — you solve it. You see an opportunity — you go get it.
In EOS terms, you're the Integrator. You take the Visionary's direction and make it real. You run the leadership team. You own the P&L. You hold people accountable without making it personal. You make sure everyone is rowing in the same direction — and you fix it fast when they're not.
You've spent years in pest control. You know the work, the regulations, the customers, and what it takes to lead a field team that takes pride in doing the job right.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE
All applicants must complete this questionnaire. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Answers are evaluated before any resume is considered — strong answers move you forward; vague or evasive answers end the process.
- What Florida pest control license(s) do you currently hold? List license type(s) and expiration date(s).
Disqualifier: must hold at minimum an active JE (Termite) or JF (General Household Pest) license = no interview without it.
- How many years have you worked in the pest control industry, and what roles have you held?
Disqualifier: fewer than 3 years in pest control = no interview.
- Describe the largest team you have directly managed. How many people, what roles, and for how long?
We're looking for specifics — not vague claims of leadership experience.
- Tell us about a time you identified a broken process in your operation and fixed it. What was the problem, what did you do, and what was the measurable result?
This question evaluates whether you're an operator or just a manager.
- Give us one example of a time you had to hold a team member accountable for underperformance. What did you do and what happened?
Vague answers here are a signal.
- What pest control software, CRM, or scheduling tools have you used? Be specific.
FieldRoutes, Aircall, and Pipedrive experience is a plus — but honesty about your actual experience matters more than name-dropping.
- What is your current or most recent base salary, and what total compensation are you targeting in this role?
Be specific. This helps us confirm alignment before we invest time on both sides.
- What are you looking for that your current or last role is not providing?
This tells us a lot about how you make decisions and what drives you.
- Are you familiar with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)? If yes, describe your experience with it.
No EOS experience is not disqualifying — but knowing what it is helps us move faster.
- Is there anything in your background — employment gaps, past terminations, or licensing issues — that would come up in a background or reference check? If yes, briefly explain.
We do thorough background checks. Honesty here is respected. Surprises are not.
