Full Job Description

Mountain Top Resort is a 4-season luxury resort located in Central Vermont. Catering to large wedding parties, corporate groups, and family vacationers, we’re consistently seeking to add top-tier talent to our team. We are currently hiring for a head chef for our dining room spaces, both our Restaurant and Tavern. The position will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Creating, Ordering, Prepping, and Executing Seasonal Menus for our Dining Room and Tavern
Following safety and Sanitation regulations
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Prepare and Cook food according to recipes and standards
Lead menu planning and development, ensuring variety and quality of services for our guests
Assist in the training of any and all kitchen staff
Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed, implementing cost-saving measures where necessary
Ensure the quality of all food items served
Work in conjunction with the Resort’s management team to maintain equipment required for the delivery of service standards
Work in conjunction with Banquet Chefs and Food + Beverage Director to ensure the resort’s standards are consistently being met, both internally and externally

Qualifications Include:

Head Chef / Executive Chef Experience: 3+ Years or more
Cooking Experience: 3+ years or more
Ability to work 10 hour shifts
Morning Shifts and Evening Shifts as Needed
Weekend Shifts (Required)
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Good working knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
Ability to manage tasks and responsibilities across the full spectrum of the kitchen
Culinary degree or certification
