Technicians coat parts using a variety of methods including: automatic roller coater, hand, dip and drench coating.
Responsible for setup and maintaining equipment used for various coating operations. Must pay attention to details and identify potential problems which could result in quality issues regardless of the method of coating application.
Job Duties include:
- Dip coat parts to ensure proper coverage and distribution and minimize coating waste. Ensure ample dry time prior to curing.
- Ability to set up and operate the drench coating booth and dip tanks.
- Qualified to lockout/tagout equipment per area procedures.
- Assist lead-ops and Line Leaders in the training of temporary and new employees in the proper techniques for coating application, equipment set-up and cleanup and general safe practices for the coating area.
- Follow instructions as given by the Line Leaders, Lead Operators and Supervisors.
- Work as a team member, utilizing all available skill sets in order to aid the coating department in achieving their corporate goals.

Qualifications:
- Able to follow written work instruction
- Able to drive tow motor or use a walkie stacker
- Basic computer skills
