Full Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance services on company vehicles and equipment.
Change engine oil, filters, fuel filters, and lubricate chassis components.
Inspect brakes, tires, steering, suspension, lights, and fluid levels.
Perform DOT safety inspections as assigned.
Replace wiper blades, batteries, belts, hoses, and other basic components.
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
Keep the shop clean, organized and safety compliant.
Identify potential mechanical issues and communicate findings to senior technicians.
Assist mechanics with repairs as needed.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
12pm-8:30pm shift (second shift)

Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Previous experience performing vehicle maintenance or mechanical work is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines is a plus.
Strong attendance record and commitment to workplace safety
Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Computer proficiency required (inventory systems, basic office software)
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle components
Minimum 6 months of general work experience required
Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.)
Must have the ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
Ability to work independently
Dependability (be at work and be on time)
Accurately and promptly complete required paperwork
Excellent customer service skills
Stable work history

Preferred Skills

Experience in fleet maintenance, automotive parts, or equipment management
Experience servicing medium or heavy duty trucks.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Work Environment
CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus.
ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
May involve standing, lifting, and moving parts regularly
