Full Job Description

V&S Galvanizing, LLC has over 100 years of experience in Hot Dip Galvanizing, and we are the leader in the steel coating industry. Today we operate over 9 galvanizing plants in the U.S., featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide.

Position Summary:

We are currently searching for an outstanding individual to fill our Production Manager position at our V&S Amboy Galvanizing facility.

This is a full-time position located at our growing Perth Amboy, New Jersey facility. Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and shipping of the plant while promoting a culture of safety.

Responsibilities:

Drive a culture of safety.
Responsible for production, maintenance, quality, shipping & receiving.
Coordinates plant schedules through planning to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage.
Ensure that plant operates safely and in compliance with all company and federal/state codes and regulations.
Recruit, train, and onboard new employees.
Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement.
Limited travel required.
Other duties as directed by General Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Management/Supervisory: 2 years (Required).
Knowledge of the steel industry or protective industrial coatings (Highly Preferred)
Previous understanding of AISC and ISO 9001 quality standard (Required).
Previous knowledge in manufacturing, supply chain operations, process design, systems, and quality (REQUIRED).
High proficiency in Spanish language (REQUIRED).
Production Scheduling.
Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
Relentless determination and courage to make things happen; strong execution skills; results oriented.
Self-motivated, desire to improve one's knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record for insurability.

Compensation:

A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary between $65,000-$90,000, health, dental, vision, life and disability products, a 401K program with company match, an annual bonus program, and company vehicle.
