Full Job Description

Vaco is partnering with a well-established organization in the Canton/Litchfield area that’s looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.

The role:
The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. This person will manage and mentor a team while partnering closely with leadership to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing monthly and annual financial statement preparation
Managing general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations
Supporting multi-entity accounting and consolidations
Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Partnering with external auditors
Driving process improvements and supporting system upgrades
Mentoring and developing accounting staff

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with accounting systems and process improvement initiatives
Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills
