This position will provide administrative support for the Director of Financial Aid and the Financial Aid office. Duties include interacting with students and the general public to provide information regarding Financial Aid and Scholarships, clerical, and receptionist duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Support Financial Aid office and related departments with receptionist and clerical duties such as directing phone calls, interacting with in-person visitors, and responding to questions with accuracy and clarity
- Support divisional administrative assistants with bookkeeping, ordering office supplies, prepare for staff travel, and communicate with the accounts payable department to reconcile accounts

Filing student records, such as scanning and electronically cataloging documents
- Support Student Services with events such as New Student Orientation, graduation, and other events that recruit and retain students at Midland College

Under the direction of Student Services leadership, support other departments in the division with initiatives to award financial aid to students, including scholarship recipients, veterans, and others

Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Excellent customer service and strong organizational skills

Computer literacy to include experience working with Microsoft Office software

Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier, fax machine, and multi-line telephone
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clerical and general office experience, preferably at a school district or institution of higher education

Data entry experience

Experience working with budgets; strong bookkeeping skills
-
Experience with imaging software and indexing documents

Salary Range: $12.00 per hours
