Rustic Café is looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager who is passionate about great food, outstanding Guest service, and developing a successful team.

As the Restaurant Manager, you will lead the daily operation of the restaurant and be accountable for achieving sales, profitability, staffing, food safety, and Guest satisfaction goals. You will set the standard for operational excellence while creating an environment where Team Members feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed.

What You’ll DoLead the Guest Experience

Ensure every Guest receives friendly, accurate, and timely service.
Make Guest satisfaction the team’s highest priority.
Resolve concerns professionally and use Guest feedback to improve the operation.
Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the restaurant.

Lead and Develop the Team

Train, coach, recognize, and hold Team Members accountable.
Develop a strong leadership pipeline and identify a Team Member who can lead the restaurant during your absence.
Conduct regular Team Member meetings to communicate goals, results, operational updates, and expectations.
Create a respectful workplace where every Team Member is treated with dignity.
Train Team Members in POS operation, food preparation, back-of-house procedures, front-of-house service, food safety, and all required restaurant positions.

Drive Sales and Profitability

Achieve or exceed the restaurant’s sales and profit plan.
Build staffing schedules based on sales forecasts, business needs, and labor budgets.
Monitor food cost, labor, waste, inventory, discounts, voids, and other controllable expenses.
Complete sales reports, inventories, operational records, and required daily paperwork accurately and on time.
Order food, paper goods, and operating supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve productivity, and strengthen profitability.

Maintain Operational Excellence

Ensure the restaurant consistently meets company, brand, food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
Complete required restaurant inspections and promptly correct identified opportunities.
Enforce all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Maintain equipment, facilities, and restaurant appearance at a high level.
Be available to support and cover restaurant shifts when operationally necessary.

Manage Restaurant Administration

Oversee timekeeping, payroll information, disciplinary documentation, and other Team Member records.
Ensure all restaurant documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Communicate staffing, maintenance, safety, Guest service, and operational concerns to the Field Coach.

Grow Community Connections

Build relationships with nearby businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, and community groups.
Identify local marketing and catering opportunities that increase awareness, traffic, and sales.
Represent Rustic Café and The Kent Companies professionally in the community.

Required Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is required.
Restaurant leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to understand restaurant financial reports, sales results, labor performance, food cost, and inventory data.
Ability to meet the scheduling and physical demands of restaurant operations.
