Role Description

Elite Optimization is seeking an experienced Plant Designer to join our team in Midland, TX. This is a lead technical role responsible for modeling oil and gas facility designs.

You must be an expert in AutoCAD Plant 3D for piping design. You will lead project from start to finish creating full facility 3D models, fabrication isometrics, general arrangement drawings for equipment packages, P&IDs and BOM extraction.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Piping Design: Utilize AutoCAD Plant 3D to model up-stream oil & gas facilities (tank batteries, separators, SWDs, pump stations) including pipe routing, equipment layout, and structural supports.
Spec & Catalog Management: Create and maintain custom Piping Specifications and Catalogs in Plant 3D to match client standards.
Deliverable Generation: Produce high-quality Orthographic drawings, Piping Isometrics (ISOs), P&IDs, and BOMs directly from the 3D model. Produce a Navisworks .NWD for model review/client sharing.

Qualifications

3+ Years Experience in Piping Design within the Oil & Gas industry.
Plant 3D Expert: Mastery of 3D modeling, Spec Editor, Report Creator, and Isometric configuration.
Experience with Navisworks.
Proficiency in using MS Office.
Must be able to read P&IDS.
Ability to communicate effectively with Project Engineers/Project Managers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free models and documents.
Maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
Capability to work in teams
Ability to manage multiple projects.
