Summary of Position
The Line Cook position is crucial to our success — the kitchen is the heart of our business. As a Cook, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by preparing high-quality dishes with consistency, efficiency, and pride.
You will prepare, season, and cook menu items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts according to our established recipes and standards. The ideal candidate will consistently meet ticket time goals, maintain excellent plate presentation, and strictly follow Health Department food safety and cleanliness regulations to ensure top-quality service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes and standards
- Maintain ticket time goals while delivering accurate and visually appealing plates
- Fill in where needed to ensure smooth operations and outstanding guest service
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, properly maintained, and in excellent working condition
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures
- Practice safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation
Qualifications
- Experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, or expediter
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials for extended periods
- Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
