Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required to support member events, networking programs, and special community activities. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.)
Pay: $18–$23/hour, depending on experience

As our Afternoon Community & Events Coordinator, you'll help create the energy that makes Second Story special. You'll spend your afternoons connecting with members, supporting events, creating engaging social media content, welcoming prospective members, and ensuring our space is ready for another successful day before you lock the doors each evening.
This isn't a traditional receptionist position. It's an opportunity to become an integral part of a thriving professional community by helping tell our story, build meaningful relationships, and create memorable experiences for our members and guests.

What You'll Do
Community Engagement
- Welcome members and guests throughout the afternoon.
- Learn member names, businesses, and celebrate their successes.
- Conduct tours for prospective members.
- Assist with new member onboarding.
- Build genuine relationships throughout our community.
Events & Hospitality
- Assist with event setup, hosting, and breakdown.
- Ensure conference rooms and event spaces remain presentation-ready.
- Support community programming and networking events.
- Anticipate member needs and provide exceptional hospitality throughout the day.
- Support occasional evening and weekend events as scheduled.
Contribute to Social Media & Marketing
Help tell the story of Second Story under the leadership of our Creative Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Capture photos and short videos that showcase our members, events, and community.
- Create engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Highlight member milestones, business wins, and community happenings.
- Assist with newsletters, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Look for authentic moments that reflect the culture of Second Story.
- Occasional evening and weekend event coverage may include photographing, filming, and creating social media content that showcases the Second Story community
Building Operations
- Complete the afternoon building checklist.
- Maintain coffee and hospitality stations.
- Keep common areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Prepare the building for the next business day.
- Complete all daily closing procedures and secure the building at the end of your shift.
Shift Transition
You'll overlap daily with our Morning Community & Hospitality Coordinator to ensure a seamless transition of member needs, tours, maintenance updates, events, and daily operations.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in hospitality, event planning, marketing, coworking, retail, or customer service is strongly preferred.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook is required.
- Comfortable taking photos, recording short videos, and writing engaging social media captions.
- Experience with Canva, Google Workspace and basic graphic design is a plus.

This is a part-time position. Health insurance and retirement benefits are not offered with this role.
