Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post for a professional who values teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture while supporting a reliable and innovative approach to day-to-day site operations.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions, and report observations, incidents, and related details according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or de-escalation during busy periods, special events, deliveries, or other high-traffic activities common to a retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Must have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/corrections/military experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
