Project Leader/Crew Lead
Senior field leadership role. You own the job site, the crew, and the client relationship — on some of the highest-profile projects in the country.
About the Role
We are the nation's leading precision chemical cleaning and passivation contractor. Our data center clients include hyperscale and enterprise operators running mission-critical cooling and fluid infrastructure. When those systems need chemical cleaning, passivation, or treatment, they call us — and our Project Leaders run the show on the ground.
This is a senior field role for someone who has done the work, knows fluid systems cold, and is ready to lead a crew, own a budget, and be the face of the operation for the client. You'll work across major data center markets in the central and eastern US.
What You'll Do
- Own the full project lifecycle: planning, staffing, scheduling, execution, documentation, and client communication
- Lead and supervise field crews through chemical cleaning, passivation, derouge, bio-cleaning, hydro/pneumatic testing, and system drying of H₂O and glycol systems
- Set up and optimize equipment skids and hose configurations for proper flow and chemical contact
- Manage job-level gross profit — you're responsible for the budget, not just the work
- Serve as the primary on-site client contact: professional, proactive, solutions-oriented
- Interface directly with other contractors and site teams in active data center environments
- Lead safety talks, conduct Pre-Job Hazard Analyses (PJHA), and enforce compliance
- Troubleshoot chemical mixture issues and equipment failures in real time
- Mentor and develop your crew — associate technicians and field technicians look to you

Compensation & Earning Power
Base pay is competitive for senior field leadership. Here's why the total package significantly exceeds market rates for comparable roles:
Up to $200/day per diem — every day on assignment for food and lodging (tax-advantaged in most cases).
Consistent, generous overtime — often 50–60+ hour weeks during active project phases.
Rental vehicle provided per job; you arrange the company-paid passenger van for your crew on longer projects.
Automatic 10% base-pay raises at 6, 12, and 18 months — compounding to approximately 33% higher base within 18 months, plus performance increases on top.
Result: Your effective daily rate and total take-home routinely outperform traditional foreman or lead-tech roles that offer only straight time with no per diem, no vehicle support, and no structured raises.
What We're Looking For
You've spent real time in the field doing chemical cleaning, flushing, or fluid system work — and you've led people through it. You've managed a job budget and communicated with a client. You're ready to own it independently.
- Minimum 3 years of chemical cleaning, passivation, or process piping field experience
- 1–3 years running remote field projects as the lead — not just a crew member, but the person responsible for the job
- Strong background in flow systems: hydronic piping, water treatment, O&G flushing/purging, industrial cleaning, environmental services, offshore drilling, or similar
- You know what minimum velocity means in a flushing context and how to maintain it
- Proficiency with pH neutralization, calibration, and testing methods
- OSHA 30 required; HAZWOPER and Confined Space certifications highly preferred
- DOT Medical Certificate required
- Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or AA degree preferred
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and thorough in your documentation
Where You'll Work
Primary client sites are currently in Atlanta, DC/Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, and Indiana, with additional locations across the central and eastern US and Texas. You travel to project sites and return home between assignments.
Travel: Extensive; return home between projects
Shifts: Day and night rotations; weekends and holidays as required
Overtime: Significant and consistent — this is an active field leadership role
Why This Role
- Run high-profile jobs inside hyperscale data centers for nationally recognized clients
- Real autonomy — you own the job site and the client relationship
- A company with 60+ years of industry leadership that promotes from within
- All project equipment, vehicles, travel, lodging, and per diem covered

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
