Full Job Description

Kosmic Kids is seeking an experienced Director for our Daycare Center.

The Director is the lead manager of the Center and will be solely responsible for operations and maintaining the licensing and regulations of the center. They will have the direct communication of keeping parents informed from day to day and meeting the need of the staff to make sure their needs are meet to bring care to the children and quality to their classrooms. Must have great customer service, and the ability to be flexible.

Duties include:

Providing a quality early learning center where children and parents are happy and
delighted to belong.
Building and maintaining enrollment through marketing and advertising campaigns and developing public/community relations.
Managing the facilities and managing the overall image and up keep of the center.
Hiring, training, and supervising staff.
Financial management of the center, which involves following the budget and managing the accounting.
Managing staff and labor.
Attend Director's trainings, and comply with the state's minimum standards and the company's policies.
Work with the fire marshal, licensing rep, and health inspector.
Handle claims with federal foods and 3rd party agencies billing process.
Other duties such as: handle correspondence, clerical, public relations, record keeping, enrollment building, and office management, computers (word, Excel, Pro Care, LCW, and other Microsoft Programs).
Transport Children to and from School.
Complete evaluations. Supervisory Relationship

The Director will report directly to the owner and is required to report the operations of the center and any problems that need to be handled. The Director is also required to report to Licensing as needed. The Director manages this staff, develops job descriptions, interviews candidates, maintaining staff development and education and, if necessary, manages disciplinary processes.

Job Requirements

High school diploma(with a directors credential); but preferred an associate's or bachelor's degree.
Must be able to preform clerical duties such as: use the phones (multi line), copy

machine, fax, type letters, ,handle public relations, record keeping, enrollment, office
management, work with computers and able to use: (word, Excel, childcare management software, and others Microsoft Programs).

Maintain compliance with the states Licensing, Health, and fire department

Train teachers and help create and enhance curriculum.

Knowledgeable with the federal food program and 3rd party agencies billing process.
Have 2-3 years of working experience in a licensed child care facility
Must be a fulltime
Must have a cleared state and FBI background check

Must have 2-3 years verifiable references. You will need to know Food Program, CCMS, and procare. Associates degree required. Development Associate Certification (Required). Must have current Directors License.

Must be organized, patient, and have a love for all children. Must have great verifiable references, and pass a background check.

Teaching: 1 year (Required)
Childcare: 1 year (Required)
Director of a Daycare: 2-3 year (Required

CPR and first aid needed.

Walk in interviews every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30-2
