Associate / Senior Associate – Accounting & Bookkeeping

Location: On-site in Milbank, SD

Job Type: Full-time

What You’ll Do

Financial Records Management: Maintain accurate records including AP/AR, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and general ledger reconciliations
Accounting Software Setup: Configure charts of accounts, invoice templates, contacts, and reporting formats
Software Integrations: Coordinate integrations with platforms like QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, Gusto, Bill, and others
Month-End Close: Reconcile balance sheet schedules and deliver timely financial statements
Client Relationships: Provide exceptional service through phone, video, and email communication
Workflow Documentation: Build and document onboarding workflows in our project management system
Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with Account Managers to ensure consistency and quality
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to streamline operations

What You Bring

A love for puzzles, numbers, and solving challenges
Strong computer skills—you’re fluent in accounting software, cloud platforms, and M365
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other financial tools
Comfort with client-facing communication, both written and video
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in solving problems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Resourcefulness and a solution-oriented mindset
Experience developing and documenting workflows from scratch

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (preferred)
1–5 years of bookkeeping experience (depending on level)
Bonus: Experience with tools like SaaS, B2B model, and integrated platforms
