Full Job Description

Located in Milford, CT we are a global producer of deep hole drills and rifling tooling. A family business for more than 50 years with just under 100 employees, we offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. RECEIVING

Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies in shipments
Unpack, label, and organize received items in designated storage areas

SHIPPING

- Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying order and shipping method. Must use computer extensively and be a team player.

-Packing and boxing drills up to 110” long. Boxes may weigh up to 50lbs.

-Maintain point of use inventory (staples, tape, labels, boxes, etc).

-Maintain absolute accuracy of all transactions on STARSHIP (WorldShip experience acceptable). Experience on SAGE a bonus.

-Perform various clerical duties required for the position.

-Maintain a neat and organized area.

- Ensure accuracy of shipping documents.

- Utilize computer-based system to ship and track stock tool inventory levels and update stock records.

-Use Starship to ship via UPS, FedEx and international shipments.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipment or inventory issues.

- Safely operate pallet jacks to move materials on in the dock area.

Experience

- Two year’s experience in shipping and receiving using Starship/WorldShip - Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations for inventory management - Picking, packing, and order fulfilment processes at an accurate and reasonable pace. - Knowledge of proper packaging techniques to ensure safe transportation of goods

REQUIREMENTS

High school Diploma or equivalent

Able to lift items up to 60lbs using proper bending and lifting

Stand most of a day

Very comfortable in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Very proficient use of Microsoft Word and Outlook email

Excellent attendance and reliable transportation is a must!

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week. Occasional OT
