Full Job Description

JN Group Inc. is now hiring for an Dealership Accountant position.

Come and work for a company that has been in business for over sixty years and represents eleven world-class automotive brands ranging from daily driving needs, to the ultimate in luxury and performance.

The Dealership Accountant assists in the daily operations of the Business Office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to processing transactions in the following areas:

Major Unit Sales Contract

Processing Contracts for Vehicle Sales (New & Pre-Owned, Retail & Wholesale).
Review information for accuracy completeness.
Posting Sales Transactions.
Maintaining Sales Transactions files.
Processing Sales Commissions.
Other contract related tasks.

Major Unit Inventory (New & Pre-Owned Vehicles)

Stock in new vehicles into the dealership management system.
Maintain and organize all vehicle inventory files and documentation.

Accounts Payable

Processing manufacturer invoices, including parts invoices and miscellaneous invoices.
Processing other vendor invoices.
Verify accuracy and proper coding of all entries.
Work with internal departments to resolve discrepancies when needed.

DMV Registration and Vehicle Titling

Assist in processing DMV registration and title work for sold vehicles.
Support the preparation and submission of all required documentation to complete the registration and titling process.
Maintain and organize vehicle sales files.
Receive completed deal documents from the sales department.
Forward deal files to the DMV Registration & Titling team for processing.
Once processing is completed, receive back the finalized documents, make required copies, and file all sales records according to dealership and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with state requirements and dealership procedures for vehicle titling, registration, and record retention.

Office Administration

Receive, sort, and distribute incoming income-related mail.
Assist with preparation and processing of outgoing mail.
Handle all dealership supply requests, including tracking supply levels and placing replenishment orders.
Provide general office support as assigned.

Additional Accounting Support

Assist with Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
Provide backup coverage for other accounting staff members.
Complete ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the department manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three years of dealership experience strongly preferred.
A combination of work experience and related accredited trade, college, vocational training schools a plus.
