MEDICAL ASSISTANT / PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Patient Care Technician who is passionate about aesthetics, wellness, and exceptional patient care. POSITION DETAILS
- Part-Time position (up to 32 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule across a 5-day workweek
- Opportunity to transition to Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Support
- Assist providers during aesthetic and medical procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout treatments
- Provide hands-on patient care and procedural support
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Patient Care & Education
- Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism and compassion
- Educate patients regarding treatment expectations, pre-care, and post-care instructions
- Build strong patient relationships through excellent communication and follow-up
- Support patient retention through outstanding service and attention to detail
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate patient flow and scheduling
- Provide occasional front-office support when needed
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with providers and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience
- Participate in process improvements that enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team culture
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years of medical office or clinical experience
- 1+ year Dermatology experience
- 1+ year Med Spa, Cosmetic Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or Aesthetic Medicine experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and EMR software
- Professional, polished, and patient-centered demeanor
- Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite in Mill Valley
Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- College degree
- Experience with non-surgical cosmetic treatments and aesthetic procedures
