Job Overview

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and menu plans to deliver high-quality meals.
Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and hygiene practices.
Support meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation meets quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts to promote a safe working environment.
Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs.
Participate in catering events or special meal services as required, ensuring timely delivery and excellent service.
Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen operations, including knife skills and proper equipment use.

Requirements

Prior experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments such as restaurants or catering is preferred.
Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
