The Job

The Carrier Sales Representative, Freight Consolidation, has the ultimate responsibility for managing all aspects of pickups and deliveries in their respective geographic service areas.

What You Need to Land This Awesome Job

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 2+ years of employment as Dispatch
Travel Requirements: Never
Minimum Physical Requirements: N/A
Minimum Behavior Requirements: You must Be Humble, Stay Hungry, and Live Smart

A Day in the Life (but not limited to)

Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure maximum profitability
Carrier development
Work in conjunction with Operational Support to maximize load efficiency
Educate carriers/drivers on Macropoint and activate all inbound/outbound loads
Create positive relationships with all customers (carriers and shippers)
Create manifest for predefined area and track and trace shipments
Deal with customer and carrier issues at time of pickup and/or delivery
Maximize vehicle capacity, route, and freight optimization
Provide proper documentation for prompt resolution of all OS&D issues
Provide prompt solutions for all reschedule issues
Understand and be able to execute all transportation systems
Contribute feedback on the performance of Operations Support roles to be used in the performance evaluation process with the manager
Participate in the screening and interview process for Operations Support candidates being considered alongside the hiring manager. Feedback on candidates' viability is combined with managers to determine the best candidate to be hired.
Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by their manager
All other duties as assigned by supervisor, but remember, we work as a team to get the job done
