Thrive Education Partners is seeking an experienced educator to support two bright students—a rising 7th grader and a rising 4th grader—through highly personalized academic coaching and tutoring. This role combines executive functioning support with targeted instruction in reading, writing, and math to help students build confidence, strengthen learning habits, and become more independent learners.
This is an opportunity for an educator who values individualized instruction and enjoys adapting their approach to meet the unique needs of each student. The family is looking for someone who can go beyond homework help by identifying learning patterns, teaching practical strategies, and helping students develop the skills needed to navigate school more successfully.
Student Profile
You'll be working with two students:
1. A rising 7th grader who is rebuilding academic confidence and strengthening foundational skills after spending time away from school during the previous academic year. She would benefit from support in executive functioning, reading, math reinforcement, organization, and developing greater independence as she transitions into middle school.
2. A rising 4th grader who is academically capable but finds reading and writing effortful. The family is particularly interested in strengthening reading stamina, written expression, attention, and follow-through. There are also questions about whether underlying writing-related challenges may be impacting his progress.
Both students have ADHD and executive functioning challenges. The ideal educator will be able to balance academic instruction with coaching in organization, planning, self-monitoring, and follow-through while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
The family is highly invested in their children's growth and values clear, professional communication. They are looking for an educator who can serve as both an instructor and thought partner, providing meaningful observations and recommendations over time.
What You'll Do

- Build student confidence through positive relationships and achievable goals
- Monitor progress through ongoing informal assessment and adjust instruction as needed
- Develop individualized learning plans and recommendations
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, observations, and next steps
- Help students build practical systems and habits that support long-term success
