Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Emergency Services to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across a multi-site emergency services network in the Pensacola, Florida region.
This senior leadership role oversees a main emergency department and multiple freestanding emergency departments, with accountability for quality outcomes, patient experience, workforce engagement, operational performance, and growth initiatives. The Director partners closely with executive leadership and physicians to ensure emergency services are positioned for long-term success in a dynamic healthcare environment.
This opportunity is ideal for an emergency services leader with recent Director-level acute care experience, preferably with multi-site or freestanding emergency department oversight.
Responsibilities
Clinical Quality & Patient Safety
Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based emergency care practices
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Drive patient throughput, capacity planning, and flow optimization initiatives
Promote accountability, transparency, and consistency in emergency care delivery
Service Excellence & Patient Experience
Champion a culture of patient-centered care and service excellence
Leverage patient feedback and quality data to drive experience improvement strategies
Partner with interdisciplinary leaders to elevate care delivery and access
People Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing emergency services leadership team
Support workforce engagement, retention, succession planning, and professional growth
Foster collaboration, accountability, and leadership excellence across sites
Strategic Growth & Community Engagement
Identify and support opportunities for service expansion and new emergency offerings
Collaborate with physicians and administrative leaders to enhance or develop services
Monitor external healthcare trends, reimbursement changes, and competitive dynamics
Represent emergency services positively within the community and healthcare network
Financial & Operational Stewardship
Participate in annual budgeting, staffing models, and resource planning
Ensure effective labor management, productivity, and premium pay oversight
Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and access
Manage operating expenses, capital needs, and financial performance metrics
Qualifications
Required
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Experience with freestanding emergency departments or multi-site emergency operations
