Full Job Description

Knowledgeable in different manufacturing techniques; Die Cast, aluminum and plastic extrusion, Injection Molding and Sheet metal fabrication

Knowledgeable in precision Metal fabrication machines, Cutting, drilling, milling, routing

Knowledgeable in Lighting electronics and electrical assemblies

Understands steel fabrication, aluminum fabrication, industrial coatings, architectural finishes

Knowledgeable in welding different metals.

Utilizes jigs and fixtures where appropriate

Sequences work steps to allow the production and assembly of light fixtures in proper sequence

Understands capabilities of and directs operation of all non-specialized metal working equipment

Ability to read shop drawings

Ability to perform and check fabrication and construction layouts

Fluent in the use of Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and Acrobat

Ability to generate detailed production schedules and man power loading

Excellent written communications, using correct grammar and spelling

Ability to plan, direct, and provide technical support

Understands and applies visual inspection criteria in pre-QC work checks

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or a construction industry related field, or a bachelor degree in an un-related field with 5 years minimum practical experience.

Previous successful projects or operations at the superintendent level in same or similar field.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 25 pounds of weight throughout assigned workday if required. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
