Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic hospitality leader to support our large-scale, high-volume destination property with complex operations, multiple business units, and diverse revenue streams. Our Area Operations Manager role is ideal for a hands-on, experienced operator who excels at leading teams, driving operational performance, and executing strategic initiatives across a dynamic hospitality environment.

Candidates should have extensive experience managing multi-unit hospitality operations, including lodging, Food & Beverage, and retail. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively balance long-term vision with hands-on execution to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences.

Duties Include:

Oversee the daily operations of a large-scale, multi-faceted hospitality property, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and exceptional execution across all departments and revenue streams.
Manage overall financial performance, including P&L oversight, annual budgets, forecasting, labor planning, expense management, and strategies to maximize revenue.
Champion operational excellence by implementing consistent processes, improving efficiencies, and elevating service standards across all areas of the business.
Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally with senior leadership and key stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives and support long-term business growth
Champion an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of service, quality, and operational execution
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and risk management standards while promoting a safe and inclusive work environment
Analyze business performance metrics and implement operational strategies to improve profitability, productivity, and guest satisfaction
Oversee employee experience initiatives, including housing programs where applicable, retention strategies, and workforce engagement efforts
Lead change management initiatives and operational improvements across multiple functional areas

Requires Skills and Experience:

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large-scale, high-volume operations with diverse revenue streams and multiple departments.
At least 7 years of increasing leadership responsibility within hospitality, resorts, restaurants, or complex multi-unit operations.
Strong business and financial expertise with a track record of improving profitability, controlling costs, and driving revenue performance.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering accountability and high performance across multiple operational areas.
Strategic and results-oriented leader who can balance long-term planning with hands-on execution and operational excellence.
Outstanding communication, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience managing labor, staffing, scheduling, and operational performance in fast-paced environments
Proficiency with POS/PMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
