Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, second shift, CMM Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing quality control and assurance tasks using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that products meet specified standards. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Duties

Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
Conduct quality inspections.
Utilize PC-DMIS for data analysis.
Read and interpret print to ensure compliance with print specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other tooling to verify product specifications.
Collaborate with production to provide feedback on manufacturing processes.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain records in compliance with quality management systems.

Requirements

Proficiency in operating CMMs and familiarity with quality control processes a strong plus.
Experience with CNC systems is highly desirable.
Ability to read prints and technical drawings effectively.
Familiarity with dimensional inspection techniques and quality assurance practices.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
