Full Job Description

Armstrong & Associates, Inc. (A&A), founded in 1980, is a globally recognized leader in third-party logistics (3PL) market research and consulting. The company specializes in organizing 3PL events and providing merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory services.

A&A is currently seeking an Event Planner to manage its three annual 3PL Value Creation Summits. These summits are executive, panel-driven events that bring together 3PL executives, shippers, investors, and technology providers. The events are held in Chicago, Barcelona, and Singapore.

The Chicago summit is the largest and spans multiple days. It features a networking reception on the first night, panels on the second day, and a half-day of panels on the third day. In contrast, the events in Barcelona and Singapore are one-day programs organized in collaboration with local event partners.

This hands-on role offers real ownership. You will oversee events, helping ensure each summit runs smoothly. Responsibilities include venue negotiations, attendee and panelist recruitment, sponsorship sales, event marketing, and serving as the on-site lead for the North American Summit for pre-event setup and post-event takedown. A&A’s additional Milwaukee staff of four will support you.

If you enjoy recruiting attendees and creating well-run events through careful planning, this role could be a strong fit.

We are seeking candidates with 2 or more years of experience in event or conference planning. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable with direct outreach to senior executives, be willing to travel to Chicago and potentially Barcelona once a year, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office.

We offer $25.00 per hour, biannual discretionary bonuses typically exceeding 10% of base wages, a 401(k) match of up to 4% after the first year, and paid holidays on regularly scheduled workdays.
