Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing clinic. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, coordinating patient care, verifying insurance, answering phones, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Manage patient scheduling through patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring appointments are booked accurately and efficiently.
Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person communication, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
Assist with medical administrative tasks such as verifying insurance coverage, processing payments, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient flow, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure timely follow-up appointments.
Maintain accurate records using medical terminology and EHR/EHR management systems, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and organizational standards.
Support medical staff by handling administrative support tasks including typing reports, updating patient information, and managing client communication.
Stay informed about health regulation policies to ensure all procedures meet current standards and best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in a medical office or dental office environment with strong knowledge of health regulation policies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with experience using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person.
Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management practices.
Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Prior experience supporting medical administrative functions is preferred; dental office experience is a plus.
