Full Job Description

Summary:

Under the direction of the Controller, the Supply Chain Specialist supports procurement, inventory management, supplier performance, and supply chain operations to ensure uninterrupted material availability and efficient product flow throughout the hospitality organization. This role works closely with suppliers, chefs, restaurant & hospitality group management, accounting, and internal stakeholders to optimize purchasing activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and support business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.

Manage the procurement process for assigned materials, ingredients, and supplies to support restaurant and hospitality operations.
Create, review, and issue purchase orders while ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and usage trends to support replenishment planning and minimize stock shortages.
Coordinate material transfers between multiple locations within hospitality organization to maintain optimal inventory availability.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and order status to ensure on-time receipt of materials.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication regarding forecasts, pricing, availability, lead times and quality of ingredients.
Review receiving documents for accuracy and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, or inventory transactions.
Maintain procurement, inventory, and supplier records within company ERP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes, inventory control, and supply chain efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, supply chain, or materials planning.
Experience working within a hospitality environment is preferred.
Experience utilizing ERP/MRP (Acumatica/Velixo) systems and advanced Excel functions preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Perform repetitive motions for assigned tasks.
Work in an office environment requiring extended periods of sitting.
Occasionally visit hospitality locations as needed to support inventory and material management activities.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
