Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / Director of Housekeeping

Hyatt Regency Milwaukee is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Housekeeping Supervisor to support the daily operations of our housekeeping department and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This position plays a key role in supporting our housekeeping team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet brand and hotel standards, and helping deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the hotel.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be assigned to specific guest room floors and will be responsible for conducting and documenting room inspections through HotSOS for both checkout and stayover rooms. This role helps ensure cleanliness and working-order standards are consistently upheld while supporting Room Attendants in meeting the union contract productivity standard of 15 credits per day.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment required.
Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to coach, motivate, and support a diverse team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with hotel operations software and room inspection systems preferred.
Must be flexible and able to work a mid-shift schedule, with start times between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., based on business needs.
Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

Support the Housekeeping Manager and Director of Housekeeping with daily operations, associate supervision, and quality assurance.
Be assigned to specific guest room floors and oversee the cleanliness, readiness, and overall condition of rooms within the assigned area.
Conduct and document inspections of both checkout and stayover rooms using HotSOS.
Ensure all guest rooms meet Hyatt Regency Milwaukee standards before being released for sale.
Help maintain key quality metrics of 93 for Cleanliness and 80 for Working Order.
Monitor Room Attendant productivity and help support the union contract standard of 15 credits per day while maintaining quality expectations.
Provide hands-on coaching, counseling, and on-the-job guidance to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
Reinforce cleaning procedures, productivity expectations, safety practices, and brand standards.
Identify maintenance and working-order concerns during inspections and communicate them for timely resolution.
Respond to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Communicate closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other departments regarding room status, VIPs, special requests, and maintenance concerns.
Assist with daily staffing, task assignments, and operational priorities based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and business needs.
Maintain a visible presence on assigned floors and provide hands-on support when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
