Splash Clinical was founded in 2011 to help solve the problem of patient enrollment in clinical trials by leveraging the power of social media, data analytics and mobile technologies. It is our mission to help make a difference in the lives of patients across the globe by connecting them with the right clinical trials.

The Back end Developer designs and develops websites, applications, and layers of infrastructure to continue growing Splash’s product offerings. It is also important to have a strong knowledge of web application development using PHP programming language, MySQL Server databases, and Amazon Web Services. This role will have an immediate impact on business and client success.

Job Tasks:

Participate in project scoping meetings, analysis of user needs, and overall software design in an agile development environment.
Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development as required
Write robust code to ensure repeatability and scalability of Splash’s internal software platform
Design and code APIs to support mobile and desktop clients
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving software bugs based on QA findings
Work cross-functionally to convert business needs into technical specifications

Key Position Success Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science
2+ years of experience in web development and software design
Expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, Vue, JavaScript, CSS), PHP framework – Laravel preferred, and MySQL databases
Experience with AWS web-enabled technologies
Highly organized and flexible to adjusting priorities
A very strong level of accuracy and attention to detail with customer specifications and regulatory standards
Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a team environment
Strong time management skills
