Full Job Description

The successful candidate will participate in the development of advanced artificial intelligence technologies for biomedical literature mining, natural language processing, machine learning, and predictive analytics supporting next-generation regenerative medicine research.

Responsibilities

Develop machine learning and NLP algorithms for biomedical applications.
Design automated biomedical literature mining pipelines.
Build and manage structured biomedical datasets.
Develop predictive AI models.
Evaluate model performance using modern machine learning techniques.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists and software developers.
Contribute to scientific publications and future grant applications.

Required Qualifications

M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
Strong Python programming skills.
Experience with machine learning and deep learning.
Experience with transformer models and modern NLP frameworks.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with biomedical text mining.
Experience with biomedical databases.
Experience with cloud computing.
Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
Interest in biomedical AI and translational research.

Position Information

Full-time.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Regular in-person collaboration required.
This is not a remote position.
Applicants should currently reside in the Milwaukee metropolitan area or be willing to relocate before employment begins.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
