Job Summary:
Develops schedules, enters data, and produces reports for the Clinical Resource Unit and the Patient Care Services departments. Is a resource for the use of the staffing/scheduling software system to ensure accuracy of the database and development of staff scheduling.

Essential Functions:

Maintains accuracy of staff scheduling/position control database for all Patient Care Services personnel. Enters employee and staffing data into staff scheduling computer systems as required.
Communicates and supports/trains new users on the use of the scheduling systems, policy, guidelines and scheduling accountability.
Maintains time and attendance records.
Assess and communicates staffing resource needs in partnership with the Patient Care Services leadership and helps to coordinate all-calls and staff tracking for scheduling needs.
Performs system backups and maintenance as appropriate.
Maintains Patient Care Manager on-call schedule.

Education:

High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Required

Experience:

2+ years of experience working with personal computers, computer applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processing), preferably in a hospital/health care environment. Required and
Prior experience in the use of a health system scheduling system preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with management and other hospital staff.
Requires ability to be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and excellent organizational skills in order to maintain records and prioritize work necessary to meet required deadlines.
Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and problem solve difficult scheduling issues.
Ability to act independently, under minimal supervision.
Adaptable to a changing environment and growing team.
