Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Salon Manager / Stylist, where you’ll be the heartbeat of our dynamic salon environment! This role combines creative artistry with leadership, empowering you to deliver exceptional hair and beauty services while managing daily operations. As a key team member, you'll inspire clients with your expertise in hair styling, coloring, and grooming, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere that keeps clients coming back. Your passion for beauty and dedication to customer satisfaction will drive the success of our salon.

Responsibilities

Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and grooming services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application.
Manage salon operations efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, process payments, and track client preferences.
Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs, offering personalized recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Upsell retail products and services through effective retail sales techniques, including retail math and product knowledge.
Mentor and train junior stylists and team members in hair techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence.
Oversee front desk duties such as appointment scheduling, client check-in/out, and managing inquiries to ensure smooth daily operations.
Keep up-to-date with current trends in color theory, hair styling techniques, barbering skills like straight razor shaves, and store management best practices.

Requirements

Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling, coloring, and grooming techniques.
Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment booking and client management.
Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon setting.
Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and lead team members confidently.
Demonstrated ability in retail sales, upselling services/products, and retail math calculations.
Store management experience preferred; ability to oversee daily operations including front desk responsibilities.
