Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Boutique Manager for our White Dress Off the Rack store. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, managing a retail sales team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive retail industry knowledge, and a passion for fashion. As Boutique Manager, you will drive sales growth, maintain inventory control, and foster a welcoming environment that reflects our brand’s commitment to quality and service.

Key responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing effective merchandising strategies, managing inventory and purchasing processes, and ensuring operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant retail team while maintaining high standards of customer service and store performance.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks and inventory control procedures.
Conduct employee orientation, training, and development to enhance team performance.
Coordinate interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members to build a skilled team.
Implement pricing strategies and merchandising plans aligned with brand standards.
Monitor sales performance metrics using retail math principles; analyze data to identify growth opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies regarding payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures.
Maintain organized store layout and visual merchandising that highlights product features.
Foster effective communication within the team through managerial communication practices.
Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette and in-person interactions.
Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and optimizing operational costs.
Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and inventory updates.
Engage in recruiting efforts by identifying talent aligned with our brand values.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of managerial experience within the retail industry, specifically managing sales teams in a boutique or specialty store setting. Prior experience in supervising retail staff with strong leadership skills is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, merchandising, and operational management.

Additional qualifications include:

Proven ability to develop training programs and foster team growth.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and stock control.
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Experience with employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting processes.
Knowledge of retail math principles for sales analysis and pricing strategies.
Familiarity with payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and budgeting practices.
Demonstrated leadership in managing retail sales teams effectively across shifts.
