Where You will Work

4EF is a 24 bed (all private rooms) Medical/Telemetry unit with a Respiratory focus. We are the only unit in the system that takes care of ventilator patients, other than an ICU. Although respiratory is our focus, we take care of a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses including COPD, CHF, diabetic ulcers, cellulitis and pneumonia. High-acuity patients, just below the acuity of an ICU.

What You Will Do

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process while partnering with patients and families across the care continuum.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize significant changes, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely, patient-centered interventions.
Promote patient safety and risk reduction through ongoing assessments, education, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards compliance.
Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning and provide age-appropriate care tailored to each patient’s developmental and clinical needs.
Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, foster teamwork, and provide leadership through appropriate delegation and care coordination.
Support quality improvement, shared governance, and safety initiatives by identifying risks, reporting events, and implementing corrective actions.
Demonstrate professionalism through ethical decision-making, continuous learning, mentorship, competency completion, and participation in professional development activities.

Schedule Details

Full time
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Shift(s): Evening, Night and Weekend Program (WP) availability
Includes every third weekend and holiday rotation.

What We Are Looking For

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
