As a Framer, you will frame single family homes and townhomes from the ground up. You will work alongside other tradesmen to assemble floor panels, walls panels, and trusses. You will work at heights three stories up and in the weather elements year round.
As a Trim Carpenter, you will install base, casing, crown molding, cabinetry, railings, and other millwork inside single family homes and townhomes. You will precisely measure and cut millwork and safely operate relevant tools. You will haul assigned power tools in your vehicle and be responsible for the safe use and storage of assigned tools.
As a Foreman, you will oversee the production of framing, decking, trim work, or window and door crews as they pertain to the construction of new homes and townhomes. You will oversee craftsmanship and be the onsite point of contact for crew members, Managers, and subcontractors. Your ability to effectively communicate with others is critical and your attention to detail is necessary to successfully complete projects on time and to company standards.
As a Service Carpenter, you will complete a wide range of millwork projects on both the interior and exterior of residential homes. Projects include trim and finish, drywall and paint repair, framing and decking, siding, fixtures, hardware, and other duties as they pertain to our custom home warranty. Service Carpenters work independently and in a company service vehicle so a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required for this position. Service Carpenters report to the west metro when meeting with Management or visiting the shop.
Duties
- Follow plans and prints
- Proper & safe usage of hand tools and power tools
- Follow safety guidelines while on job sites or working in a shop
- Hauling of material and tools
- Site clean up
- Troubleshoot as needed
- Work at heights two to three stories up
- Ladder, harness, and lift use (when applicable)
- Track hours and communicate with management effectively
Requirements
- Knowledge of carpentry trade as it pertains to residential construction
- Prior experience with usage and understanding of safe practices related to power tools, relevant machinery, PPE, and gear
- Reliable transportation daily to and from job site (To reduce commute, work location is assigned based on where you live.)
- Possession of work boots
- (When applicable) Possession of hand tools and tool belt (framing, decking, doors/windows crews)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Willingness and ability to work outside in varying temperatures and elements
- Willingness to participate in any/all safety training required for the position
- Willingness to learn and advance
