JOB DESCRIPTION

At Hmong Home Health Care (HHHC), we are passionate about providing exceptional culturally-sensitive care for our clients. Our Authorizations team is critical in ensuring seamless authorization processes, allowing us to deliver excellent services across the community. THE ROLE

As an Authorizations Analyst, you will have the following responsibilities:

Client Authorization Management: Collaborate with county officials, case managers, and payers to ensure timely and accurate service authorizations, and coordinate regular service authorization updates based on client needs.
Billing System Administration: Upload service agreements and assessments into our electronic medical record system, facilitating an accurate billing process and enabling caregivers to promptly provide care to clients.
Eligibility Assessment and Action: Analyze reports and activity related to clients’ insurance eligibility, waivers, and services to proactively address payer and insurance changes in order ensure care continuation.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with other HHHC departments to handle authorization related requests. Serve as liaison for customer-facing teams for efficient resolution of various inquiries.
Billing Resolution: Address authorization related issues resulting in billing denials from payers to ensure clean billing for all services rendered.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of state and insurance authorization regulations to ensure adherence to all requirements.
Process Optimization: Provide recommendations to continuously improve systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency within the overall authorization process.
General Support: Assist with other job-related duties as needed and be a proactive problem solver across various departments and functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Six months of relevant work experience processing service authorizations required and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning a must.
Resourceful problem-solving mindset with a “figure-it-out” mentality.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency across Microsoft Office 365 (previous experience using Excel is required).
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., SmartSheets, Monday.com) is highly preferred, but not required.
Prior experience using ICD-10 codes and MN-ITS preferred, but not required
Spoken proficiency in Hmong, Karen, or other South Eastern Asian languages is highly preferred, but not required

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We are hiring for this position immediately.

Work Hours: This position is a fully remote position. Our business hours are 9am - 5pm; Monday-Friday; 35 hours per week with a one hour lunch during the work day. Hmong Home Health Care is a highly collaborative and customer-focused work environment. The Authorizations team is part of this collaborative culture via Teams and occasional in-person team building activities during the work day.
